About Touchwood.........

Touchwood is a family owned business, based in Leicester in the heart of the Midlands of England, specialising in the manufacture of custom designed furniture. The aim of Touchwood is to provide the very highest quality furniture, built to individual requirements while offering a service that is second-to-none.
With over 35 years experience in the industry, Touchwood have an excellent reputation for producing outstanding reproduction longcase clocks and fire surrounds - in addition to the restoration of antiques. At Touchwood we pride ourselves on the quality of the restoration work that we achieve.
All pieces of furniture are hand built to order using traditional cabinet making techniques, and can be made from a variety of timbers with a choice of finish. Colour matching the furniture to existing pieces is an often used service that we offer.
We have a superb range of top quality fire surrounds, designed and finished to customer requirements. These come in a variety of designs and timbers to suit all tastes. Non-standard requirements can always be accommodated to ensure that the customer is happy with the finished article.
Throughout this site you will find some examples of the various types of furniture that we can produce, but of course there are far too many pieces to include everything. As the majority of pieces are custom built, it is very difficult to show a 'standard range' - so if you are unable to find what you are looking for then please contact us. Even though there may not be an example on the web site, we can build what you require!
